Our Mission
Our mission is to create an environment that exceeds expectations and provides a transformative experience by providing guidance on campus resources, opportunities for involvement and engagement, with the end goal that each student feels a sense of belonging and that Georgia Tech is a place where they can thrive.
About the Ignite Summer Launch Program

Spark Mentorship Program
The Spark Mentorship Program pairs together incoming Ignite students with Ignite alumni to ensure a successful transition into Georgia Tech.
The Spark Mentorship Program has 3 core principles:
- Include students without judgement
- Encourage students to embrace their curiosity
- Grow students’ academic and personal skills
Having someone to guide you along at the start of your academic journey makes these changes exciting! We aim to assist new Ignite students’s transition to college, create habits of seeking guidance and support, and help new students become an integral part of the Georgia Tech community.
How to Apply
Are you a new Ignite student who is interested in being paired with a Spark Mentor? Check your email in late spring for an invitation to apply to be a Spark Mentee! Mentees will be paired with a mentor on a first-come, first-served basis, and will stay connected with their mentor during Ignite.
If you have any questions about Spark, or if you’re a current student who participated in Ignite and would like to become a mentor, email us at Ignite@gatech.edu!
